Mariam E. Veith age 81 of Dolly Ave. , died at 11:05 PM on Saturday October 17, 2009 in the Fairhaven Health Care Community, Upper Sandusky . She was born on November 13, 1927 in Upper Sandusky to the late John Stanley Swinehart and Bernice Mary (Courtad) Swinehart. She married Carl J. Veith Sept. 5, 1948 in the Trinity United Church of Christ in Upper Sandusky , he survives.

Mariam is also survived by 3 sons, Thomas M. (Cathy Urick), Marion , OH , Steven E. (Sue) Franklin , TN , Gary A. (JoAnn), Upper Sandusky , 6 grandchildren, Thomas II, Sarah, Ben, Matt, Amanda, Nicholas and 5 Great Grandchildren. Two brothers Darrell and Melford Swinehart are deceased.

She was a 1945 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School . Mariam assisted her husband on their family farm in Salem Twp. and retired from the ASCS office in 1990 after 17 years of employment.

She was a life member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, and Women’s Guild of the Church. She was a charter member of Tri-Sigma Beta Chapter Sorority, and a member of Warpole Chapter #366 OES, and Friends of the Library.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wed, Oct 21, 2009 at 10:30AM in the Bringman Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Brad McKibben officiating. Burial will follow at Old Mission Cemetery , Upper Sandusky . Visitation will be held on Tue, Oct 20, 2009 from 4:00-8:00PM at the Bringman Clark Funeral Home. To send a condolence or share a memory visit www.bringmanclark.com.
