Solange, age 87, of Appleton, passed away Monday October 26, 2009, after a short stay at Appleton Health Care Center. Solange was born in Paris, France on March 30, 1922. She worked at The Institute of Paper Chemistry during the sixties then worked the rest of her career as an executive secretary for F.W. Means Company. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her friends in the International Club.
Solange is survived by her son Bernard (Susan) Roche, Appleton, son Richard LaChapelle, Appleton, daughter Diane (John) Forslin, Fremont, son Philippe LaChapelle; 5 grandchildren: Richard (April) LaChapelle, John, and Christine LaChapelle, Daniel and Anna Forslin and a great grandchild Isabella LaChappelle.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 3 pm Sunday November 1, at St. Therese Catholic Church, corner of Wisconsin Ave. and Morrison St., Appleton, with Father William Hoffman officiating. Friends may visit directly at the church on Sunday from 2 pm until the time of service.
