Mrs. George
Edith, age 83, of Appleton, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Appleton Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born August 20, 1925, in Aylmer, Ontario, Canada, daughter of the late Andrew and Claudia (Staley) St. Clair. She married George Tisdale September 8, 1949, sharing 59 years together.
Edith was employed by Gimble’s/Marshall Fields Department Store for many years. Edith and George enjoyed spending their winters in Arizona for over 20 years.
She is survived by her husband: George, Appleton; a daughter Shelby Tisdale, Santa Fe, NM; 2 sons and daughters-in-law: David and Kathy Tisdale, Darboy; Thomas and Kim Tisdale, Little Chute; a grandson: Nicholas Tisdale and Fiancee: Heide Trampe, Appleton. She was preceded in death by a sister: Margaret Moriarty and two brothers: Pete and Gordon.
A memorial service will be held 11 AM Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Chapel with Karon Sandberg officiating. Friends may call at the funeral chapel on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of service. Memorials in memory of Edith may be directed to Theda Care Cancer Institute, 1818 N. Meade St. Appleton.
