Age 63, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Appleton Medical Center. Bob was born June 6, 1946, in Milwaukee to the late John and Mary (McCarthy) Ensley. He attended Xavier High School in Appleton. After High School, Bob proudly served his country in the U. S. Army. He then worked at Thilmany for over 30 years. Bob loved to golf and enjoyed fishing. He was a member of the Friends of Veterans, and the Heart of the Valley VFW Post 10455, in Combined Locks. He is survived by his 3 daughters: Christine V. Alix, Portland, OR, Elizabeth A. (Timothy) Frisk, Remford, ME, and Mary R. Ensley, Appleton; his son John Ensley, University of Minnesota; 8 grandchildren; 3 brothers: John T. Ensley, Appleton, Brian P. Ensley, Menasha, and Daniel E. Ensley, Appleton. He is further survived by his niece and nephew. Bob was preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Service will be held at 7 pm Tuesday, July 14, at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Chapel, with Military Honors to follow. Friends may visit at the funeral chapel on Tuesday from 5 pm until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established for the Friends of Veterans.
