1960 – 2009 Wanda Mae (Hill) Walton, 49, Savannah, Missouri passed from this life on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 in her home. Wanda was the daughter of Marvin and Juanita (Long) Hill. She was born January 13, 1960 in St. Joseph, Missouri. Wanda married Billie Walton on September 24, 2004 in Savannah, Missouri. She worked at Shady Lawn Nursing Home as a cook, housekeeper and a nurse’s aide. Wanda enjoyed life, playing cards and country music. She was a very generous person. Wanda was always there for others. She was loved by many and will be missed by her family and friends. Wanda was preceded in death by her father, and a stepbrother, Daniel Black. Survivors: husband, Billie Walton, of the home; daughters, Rhonda Walker, Rosendale, Missouri; Billie Joe Hayes, St. Joseph, Missouri; stepdaughters, Odetta Walton; Tara Jo Walton; stepson, Matthew Walton; all of Stanberry, Missouri; mother and stepfather, Juanita and William Black, Savannah; brothers, Kenneth Hill, Rea, Missouri; Gary Hill, Savannah, MO; Michael Ray; Billy; Terry; Larry; Tommy and Ronnie Hill, all of St. Joseph; sisters, Linda Applegarth, Savannah; Carol Christopher, St. Joseph; brother-in-law, Tom Walton, Savannah; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Conger, St. Joseph; Lisa Bechtold, Rea, Missouri; stepbrother, Buck Black and his wife, Connie, Amazonia, MO; stepsister, Janie Post and husband, Rich, Maysville, Missouri; 4 grandsons, 3 step grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life: 10:30 AM Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home, Savannah, Missouri. Interment in Savannah, Missouri Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to Hands of Hope Hospice. | ||
