1936 – 2009 Erma Jean (Bower) Patterson, 72, Creston, Iowa, formerly of Nodaway, Missouri passed from this life on Monday, May 11, 2009 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines, Iowa. Erma was born October 14, 1936 in Forbes, Missouri to Lester and Gladys (Hall) Bower. Erma married John Patterson on June 14, 1952 in Savannah, Missouri. She was a homemaker. Erma loved painting and crafts. She also loved her miniature schnauzer, Sadie. Erma was a loving mother and grandmother. Erma was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Warren, Harvey and Henry Charles Bower. Survivors: husband, John Patterson, of the home; daughter, Susan Kosman and husband, Mike, Creston, Iowa; grandchildren, Meghann and James Kosman. Celebration of Life: 2:00 PM Friday, May 15, 2009 at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home, Savannah, Missouri. Interment at Forbes, Missouri Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Friday. All family and friends are invited to the United Methodist Church, Amazonia, Missouri for food and fellowship at 4 PM Friday. The family suggests memorials to American Cancer Society. | ||
