1941 – 2009 Darrell R. Post, 68, Savannah, Missouri passed from this life on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Heartland Hospital, St. Joseph. Darrell was born January 20, 1941 in Stanberry, Missouri to Delbert Post, Sr. and Elizabeth Jane (Murphy) Adams. He married Dorothy (Adams) Post and they later divorced. Darrell worked as a shipping clerk at Mead Co. for 18 years. He was a member of Copeland Baptist Church, St. Joseph. Darrell enjoyed bowling and playing pool. His parents; daughter, Effie Roberta Post; and brother, Edward Adams, preceded Darrell in death. Survivors: children, Cindy Burdick, Savannah, Missouri; Penny Sherlock; Michael D. Post; both of St. Joseph; brothers, Delbert Post, Jr., Horton, Kansas; Richard Hall, Buffalo, Missouri; 12 grandchildren; several step-sisters and step-brothers; and several nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life: 2:00 PM Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Gladden-Stamey Funeral Home, St. Joseph. Mr. Post will be cremated following the service. Public viewing and family receiving 1 to 2 PM Saturday. The family suggests memorial donations to the Darrell Post Memorial Fund. | ||
