| | | | Jackie D. Cole, 67, Fillmore, Missouri died Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Heartland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph, Missouri after a courageous battle with Muscular Dystrophy.
Jackie was born on March 9, 1939 at St. Joseph to the late Charles “Dean” Cole and Ida Belle (Davison) Thompson. Also preceding in death was an infant daughter, Rebecca Cole; sisters Rosemary Long and Sonnie Townsend.
Jackie was a lifelong farmer and served with the Air National Guard. He was a member of the Eagle’s Lodge, St. Joseph and loved dancing. Jackie was a licensed private pilot and enjoyed ultra light flying.
Left to mourn his passing are his loving companion, Doris Jo Snyder, of the home; son, Brad Cole, Fillmore; brothers David Cole, Cost Mesa, CA; Randy Welch, Ft. Worth, TX; sisters Candy Cole and Rene Kantorak, both of Costa Mesa; step mother Blanche Cole, Costa Mesa; grandchildren Haily Randall and Winston Cole; several nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life: 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 3, 2007 at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home, Savannah, Missouri. Public viewing and family receiving 6 – 8 PM, Friday, February 2nd. Interment Fillmore, Missouri Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association.
