| Ruby M. (Sears) Brand, 99, Savannah, Missouri died Sunday, September 24, 2006 at LaVerna Village Nursing Home, Savannah. Ruby was born November 9, 1906 at Savannah, Missouri to the late Samuel and Clio (Dobbs) Sears. Ruby was a 1925 graduate of Savannah High School. She married Ernest Brand on December 4, 1926 and he preceded her in death February 28, 1991. Ruby worked at U.S. Subdepot and was a supervisor at Noma Lites. Ruby and her husband were sales representatives for Jewel Tea Company until retirement. Ruby was a long time member of Community Christian Church, St. Joseph. She loved gardening, canning and caring for other people. Brothers Paul, Ralph and Raymond Sears and a sister Mabel Kirk also preceded her in death.
Survivors: son, Robert Brand, Platte City, Missouri; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Service: 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home, Savannah, Missouri. Public viewing and family receiving hours 6-8 PM Monday. Interment at Savannah, Missouri Cemetery. | ||
