| Chester Dixon, 92, Savannah, Missouri, died Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Savannah.
Chester was born July 2, 1914 at Graham, Missouri to the late William and Nellie (Kenny) Dixon. Chester married Helen Richey on January 29, 1936. Helen preceded him in death on August 9, 1992. Chester was also preceded in death by a brother, Lester Dixon, and sister, Ruby Campbell Sherrow. Chester farmed in the Skidmore, Missouri area until 1965 when he and Helen moved to Savannah. After retirement, Chester was employed at Wyeth Hardware and as a custodian at Robidoux School, both in St. Joseph, Missouri. Survivors: nephew Ralph Campbell, Graham, Missouri; nieces Marcia Barrett, Mission, Kansas and Marilyn Neely, Missouri Valley, Iowa; many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life: 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 23, 2006 at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home, Savannah, Missouri. Public viewing and family visitation 10 to 11 AM Saturday. Interment Nodaway Memorial Gardens, Maryville, Missouri. The family suggests memorials to Robidoux School, St. Joseph, Missouri. | ||
