Maxine (Buie) Black, 86, Savannah, Missouri died Tuesday, June 27, 2006 in her home. She was born October 22, 1919 to the late William Everett and Elsie Pearl (Kabel) Buie in Savannah. Maxine married Francis H. Black on August 12, 1939 at Savannah; he preceded her in death April 18, 1985. Daughter, Darlene Campbell; brother, Virgil Buie; sister, Doris Jean Duncan; grandson, Bobby Gibson and dear friend Kenneth Wagele also preceded her in death. Maxine was a member of First Baptist Church, Savannah. She loved gardening and caring for her home. Survivors; two sisters, Melva Reinert and Mary Kendall, both of St. Joseph, Missouri; three grandchildren and several great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held Friday, June 30, 2006 at 1:30 PM at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home in Savannah, Missouri. Public viewing and family receiving hours Thursday, 6 to 8 PM. Interment Savannah Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to The American Heart Association. | ||
