Alberta Christmas, 90, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at Carriage Square Health Care Center in St. Joseph, Missouri. Alberta was born August 4, 1915 to Robert Lee and Sarah Ella (Rutherford) Edwards in New Point, Missouri. She married Kenneth H. Christmas on December 19, 1933 in Savannah, Missouri. He survives of the home. Alberta worked in fashions at Sears and J.C. Penney Co. in St. Joseph for many years. Alberta was preceded in death by her parents; brothers; Hagen, Charles, Dee and Rhea Edwards; sisters; Kathleen Kunkel and Annie Kunkel. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Eddie Williams, St. Joseph, Missouri; granddaughter, Kim Wyatt and husband Kenny; great grandson Torey Wyatt, all of Platte City, Missouri; sisters; Suedena Burns, Mound City, Missouri and Virginia Watson, Lincoln, Nebraska. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 PM, noon, Monday, June 26, 2006 at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home in Savannah, Missouri. Family receiving and visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment at Fillmore Cemetery in Fillmore, Missouri. | ||
