1920 – 2008 Mary Elizabeth (Bemberger) Mullins, 88, Fillmore, Missouri passed from this life on Sunday, October 5, 2008 in her daughter’s home. Mary was born on May 23, 1920 near Oregon, Missouri to William and Nellie (Finnister) Bemberger. She lived in Oregon and Fillmore most of her life. Mary married Ira Mullins on June 6, 1938 at Troy, Kansas. He preceded her in death on November 26, 2006. After the death of her husband, Mary moved to Savannah, Missouri to live with her daughter, Betty Tollefson. Her parents; son, Larry E. Mullins; infant children, Norma Jean, Francis Hilda, Bobby and Barbara; brother, George Bemberger; and great-great grandchild, Emily Hope, also preceded Mary in death. She was a member of the Three Angels Seventh-Day Adventist Church of St. Joseph. Mary volunteered with many agencies including the EOC office and LaVerna Heights in Savannah. She liked sewing, gardening and making scrapbooks. Survivors: daughters, Betty Tollefson and husband James, Savannah; Glenda Wall and husband, Allen; Helen Wall, all of Fillmore; 6 grandchildren, Victor, Virginia, Vincent, Vanessa Neiderhauser; Donna Zion and Zach Wall; 11 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Celebration of Life: 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home, Savannah, Missouri. Interment at Fillmore Cemetery. Public viewing after 3:00 PM Tuesday.
