1918 – 2008 Dorothy M. Sheppard, 89, Hamilton, Missouri passed from this life on Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Cameron, Missouri Hospital. She was born December 6, 1918 in Nodaway County, Missouri to the late Bob and Flora (Daugherty) Needham. Dorothy married Raymond Sheppard on July 23, 1938 and he preceded her in death on August 25, 1996. Dorothy was also preceded in death by a great grandson, Jim Kasper. She was a member of United Methodist Church, Hamilton and enjoyed quilting and gardening. Dorothy won many prizes in cooking contests. Survivors: sons, Robert Sheppard, Winston, Missouri and Mike Sheppard, Forest City, MO; daughter, Joan Jackson, St. Joseph; sister, Helen Connor, St. Joseph, Missouri; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Celebration of Life: 2:00 PM Friday, August 22, 2008 at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home, Savannah, MO. Interment in Savannah, Missouri Cemetery. Public viewing after 12 noon Thursday. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday. | ||
