1929 – 2008 Valdean L. Cox, 78, Bolckow, Missouri, died Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Heartland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph. Valdean was born May 31, 1929 at Guilford, Missouri to Valdon and Emma (Potts) Cox. He served in the US Army with the 82nd Airborne during the Korean Conflict. Valdean worked as a heavy construction laborer. He liked to fish and mushroom hunt. His parents and a brother, Jim L. Cox, preceded Valdean in death. Survivors: sisters and brother-in-laws, Karen and Dan Miller, Bolckow; and Lana and Bob Long, Rosendale; and 5 nieces and nephews. Graveside Celebration of Life: 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 26, 2008 Whitesville, Missouri Cemetery. Interment to follow. Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home, Savannah, Missouri. The family suggests memorials to the American Kidney Fund. | ||
