| Wanda Kay (Vaughn) Curran, 52, Savannah, Missouri died Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at Heartland Hospital, St. Joseph, Missouri.
Wanda was born July 24, 1955 at St. Joseph to William, Jr. and Nellie (Smith) Vaughn. She was a 1973 graduate of Savannah High School. Wanda married Robert Stephen Curran at Savannah on February 22, 1974. She was employed as a Hardware sales clerk at Coast To Coast and Bowe Hardware at Savannah; Mr. B Hardware and the Wyeth Company at St. Joseph; Wanda was co- owner of Curran’s Sharp-All, Savannah. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Savannah, where she had taught pre-school and received the Bishop Award. Wanda enjoyed oil painting, crafts, reading and the companionship of her cats; Cricket and Elmo. Wanda was preceded in death by her father, William Vaughn, Jr. Survivors: husband, Steve Curran, of the home; son; Chris Curran, Kansas City, Missouri; mother; Nellie Vaughn, Savannah; brother; Randy (Chantel) Vaughn, Iberia, Missouri; sisters; Judy (Jim) Jones, Savannah; Cathy (Edward) Curtis; Springfield, Tennessee; Janet (Karl) Salsberry, Agency, Missouri; several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 4, 2007 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Savannah. Inurnment Bennett Lane Cemetery, Savannah. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM, Friday, August 3rd at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home, Savannah. Family will receive friends following the rosary until 8:00 PM. Memorials may be made to The Benedictine Monks at Conception Abbey. | ||
