| | | Donald E. Schwister, age 80, passed away early Friday morning, August 28, 2009 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born April 3, 1929 to the late Joseph and Margaret (Glasbrenner) Schwister. He was united in marriage to Ruth J. Rhodes for 49 years. She preceded him in death on March 28, 2000.
Don farmed at home for all of his life; he also was employed with the City of Appleton for 38 years. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour. Don enjoyed snowmobiling, riding motorcycles, traveling, hunting, fishing, especially trips to Spooner and Canada.
He is survived by his children: Don E. Jr. (Linda) Schwister, Black Creek; Carol (Steve) Heminger, Freedom; Larry (Lois) Schwister, Black Creek; Brenda (Mike) Garvey, Black Creek; Kathy Schwister, Black Creek; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Carl Schwister Sr., Seymour and Robert Schwister Sr., Reedsville. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters Margaret Fuller and Ruth Krueger.
