Ezra K. Binkley age 95 of Jasper died at 3:55 p.m. Wednesday (June 6, 2007) in the Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
He was born on November 30, 1911 at Hancock Chapel, Harrison County, Indiana to John and Effie (Keller) Binkley. He married Rosemary Berger on April 6, 1941 they have been married for 66 years.
Ezra Binkley grew up in New Salisbury. Indiana, graduated from New Salisbury High School and from Indiana Business College at Indianapolis, Indiana.
He managed and operated the former Jasper Hatchery and retired in 1980. Previous to moving to Jasper in 1948 he manage hatcheries at Louisville, Ky, Oklahoma City and Salem, IN. He was instrumental in organizing the building of the Mausoleums in Fairview Cemetery and he served on the Jasper Traffic Board for many years.
Memberships include St. Joseph Catholic Church – Jasper Knight of Columbus and the Jasper Kiwanis Club member for 66 years where he served as its president in 1963.

Funeral service for E.K. Binkley will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday (June 11, 2007) in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.
Friends may call from 1-8 p.m. Sunday (June 10, 2007) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown in Jasper.
