Abigail H. “Abby” Beckman age 15 of Ireland passed away at 8:30 P.M. Sunday May 22, 2005 at her home after a long illness. She was born February 9, 1990 in Jasper to: Bruce and Staci (Merkley) Beckman.
Memberships include: Jasper Highschool student, JHS mat Club, JHS Key Club, Spanish Club, Vice President of the Lucky Irish 4H Club, Survivor-Coordinator of the Youth Relay for Life.
Surviving: her Mother and step-father-Michael and Staci Hanselman of Ireland
Her father- Bruce Beckman of Jasper
2 brothers-Derek Beckman and Cody Hanselman both at home.
1 sister- Emily Beckman at home
Maternal Grandparents- Jerry and Bertha Merkley of Jasper and Levinus and Lucinda Bayer of Jasper.
Paternal Grand parents- Dorothy Beckman and Carl Waninger of Mariah Hill IN. and Frank and Mary Senninger of Ireland.
Maternal Greatgrandmother-Marcella Wyatt of Jasper.
Preceded in death by paternal Grandfather-Donald Beckman, and paternal great grandmother-Florence Hurst.
Visitation will be held from 11:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Becher & Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. There will be a Parish Rosary at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday May 25, 2005 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to; American Cancer Society, St. Mary Catholic Church, Memorial Hospital Palliative Care, or St. Vincent Children Hospital in Inidanapolis.
