Eugene H. Huebner age 83 of Jasper died at 2:40 p.m. Monday (February 7, 2005) in the
Northwood Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Jasper.
He was born in Jasper on April 16, 1921 to Walter and Lena (Bauernfiend) Huebner. He
married Mariemma Miller on February 19, 1946 at the First Evangelical and Reformed
Church at Tell City, Indiana.
Gene was a WWII Navy Veteran and he retired from the Jasper Wood Products where he
had worked for 47 years.
His memberships include; Trinity United Church of Christ, Masonic Line Lodge N0 743,
Scottish Rite of Evansville and the V.F.W. Post # 673 and the American Legion Post # 147.
Surviving is his wife Mariemma Huebner
1 daughter, Mrs. Robert [Patricia] Detzer, Wauwatosa, WI
1 son, Dr. Scott Huebner and spouse Elizabeth, Columbia, S.C.
5 grandchildren, Timothy and Christine Detzer, Christopher, Lauren and Alex Huebner.
Funeral services for Gene Huebner will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday (February12, 2005)
at Trinity United Church of Christ in Jasper with burial to follow in Fairmount Cemetery in
Huntingburg. The Rev. Richard T. Pearson will officiate. V.F.W. Post # 673 in Jasper will
conduct Military Grave Side Rites.
Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m.Friday (February 11, 2005) at the Becher - Kluesner North
Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at the church.
Memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Friday by the Masonic Line Lodge 743 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ in Jasper.
