Catherine Eileen (Cissell) Jahn, age 93 of Jasper passed away at 6:15 p.m. Saturday (March 24, 2012) in Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper.

She was born December 12, 1918 in St. John, Kentucky, to William Walter and Frances (English) Cissell. She married Harold Jahn on March 26, 1940 at St. Johnís Catholic Church in Loogootee, Indiana. He preceded her in death on December 5, 1975.

She and her husband owned and operated Jahnís Family Market until Haroldís death.

Eileen was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church - Blessed Virgin Sodality and the Daughters of Isabella.

Three daughters,
Mrs. Willard (Sharon) Cavanaugh, Palm Coast, FL
Diane Jahn, Jasper, IN
Mrs. Steve (Mary Anne) Miller, Bloomington, IN
Two sons,
Gary Jahn, Jasper, IN
William Jahn and spouse Juanita, Chesterfield, MO
12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 1 step-great grandchild and 2 step great great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death besides her husband are two brothers, Thomas Felix and Marion Leo Cissell. One sister, Mary Genrose Bennett. Daughter-in-law, Shirley (Dupps) Jahn. One grandson Barry Cavanaugh and one great granddaughter, Jayden Richter.

Funeral services for Eileen Jahn will be held at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, (March 28, 2012) in Holy Family Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday (March 27, 2012) at the Becher - Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.

Rosaries will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday by the Blessed Virgin Sodality and the D of Iís.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church or to the American Diabetes Association.
