Harold V. Fischer, age 76 of Jasper passed away on Monday (August 8, 2011) in St. Francis Hospital and Health Centers in Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was born July 27, 1935 at Lamar, Indiana to Leo T. and Henrietta (Gogel) Fischer. He married Shirley Ann Recker on May 23, 1959 – she preceded him in death on December 7, 2000.
Harold retired from Laborers Local Union # 561 in Evansville, Indiana where he worked in construction for thirty years, He also did farming.
He is a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Jasper, Indiana.

Two sons,
Kent Fischer and spouse Velma, Edinburgh, IN
Kip Fischer and spouse Karen, Celestine, IN
Six grandchildren, Derek, Mariah, Bryce, Tanner, Taylor and Brayden.
One sister, Arlinda Greener, Jasper, IN
Preceding him in death besides his wife is one infant brother Sylvester Fischer.
Funeral services for Harold Fischer will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday (August 13, 2011) at the Becher & Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Fred Harder will officiate.
