Anastasia P. “Ann” Krodel age 91 of Jasper passed away at 7:14 A.M. Saturday January 15, 2011 at the Waters of Jasper Nursing Center. She was born January 17, 1919 at St. Meinrad to: Robert and Frances (Ruxer) Becher. She married Richard L. Krodel October 19, 1946. He passed away August 29, 1996.
She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, and a past member of the Precious Blood Ladies Sodality, She volunteered at Precious Blood Church for many years.
She was an avid golfer and a member of the Jasper Country Club Ladies 18 Hole League.
Surviving: 1 brother- Gervase “Jerp” Becher of Jasper
2 sisters-Dorothy “Dottie” Brosmer of Jasper, and Martha “Mert” Stallwood of Jasper.
Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Preceeded in death besides her husband is 1 brother- Ralph “Tommy” Becher.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Becher & Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday January 20, 2011 at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.
