Emil Goeppner age 75 of Ireland passed away at 3:28 P.M. Monday December 27, 2010 at Jasper Memorial Hospital. He was born August 10, 1935 in Ireland to: Andrew and Fidelia (Hurst) Goeppner. He married Ruth Fleck October 29, 1959 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper.
He was a farmer and was part owner of AR&E Builders.
Surviving: his wife Ruth Goeppner of Ireland.
1 son Glenn Goeppner of Ireland
2 daughters-Mrs. Tom (Karen) Erny of Ireland, and Mrs. Mike (Cheryl) Joest of Evansville.
10 Grandchildren
3 Great Grandchildren
2 Brothers-Anthony Goeppner, and Ray Goeppner both of Jasper.
1 Sister-Sally Fleck of Ireland
Preceded in death by 1 brother-Herbert Goeppner and 3 sisters-Bertha Haas, and 2 sisters who died in infancy.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday at the Becher & Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday December 31, 2010 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
