Dateline Jasper, Indiana

Otto R. Kemper age 97 of Jasper and formerly of Siberia, Indiana passed away on Monday (December 27, 2010) in the Hosparus In- Patient Care Center, Louisville, Kentucky.

He was born April 13, 1913 at Siberia, Indiana to Bernard and Josephine (Paulin) Kemper.

Otto Kemper was engaged in farming until 1963 – past director and Township President of the Farm Bureau. Past Director and president of the Perry-Spencer Rural telephone Co-op.

After his retirement from farming he did custodial work at St. Jude Catholic Church at Indianapolis, Indiana and later at Holy Family Church Catholic Church and School in Jasper.

He is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg, Indiana. Holy Name Society of Holy Family Parish in Jasper , Right to Life organization and the Jasper Knight of Columbus since 1946.

Surviving is his caregiver, Jim Kemper, Ferdinand, IN.

Preceding him in death are 2 brothers;
Henry Kemper and William Kemper.
5 sisters, Ida Kemper, Irma Kemper, Alice Wachtel, Verona Merrimee and Hilda Merrimee.

Funeral services for Otto R. Kemper will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday (December 30, 2010) in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Friends may call one hour before services at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg on Thursday (December 30, 2010).

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or to the Right to Life.
