Marie Rowland Bayer age 88 passed away at 11:55 a.m. Saturday (December 11, 2010) in Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper.
She was born July 15, 1922 in Crawford County, Indiana near Eckerty, Indiana to Oren and Leora (Rhodes) Rowland. She married Theodore W. Bayer Jr. September 3, 1939 , he preceded her in death March 17, 1980
Marie retired from Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center July 31, 1987 where she worked in out-patient services.
She is a member of Jasper Church of the Nazarene and a Charter member of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) Chapter in Crawford County and later a member of the Dubois county Chapter.

Preceding her in death besides her husband are 1 daughter, Loretta Yvonne Smith. 3 brothers, Alva Paul, Quenton Gene, Chester Harold Rowland and 1 sister, Mildred Irene Gottfried.
Funeral services for Marie Bayer will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (December 18, 2010) at the Becher & Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper with burial to follow in the Rowland-Potters Cemetery near Eckerty, Indiana. The Rev. Darrell Wineinger and the Rev. Steve Beck will officiate
Friends may call from 8-11a.m. Saturday (December 18, 2010) at the Becher & Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jasper Church of the Nazarene or the DAR Chapter.
