Maxim (Max) J. Kreilein, age 68, St. Anthony, Indiana died at 7:30 a.m. Thursday (September 10, 2009) in the Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born at Jasper, Indiana on October 15, 1940 to Hilbert and Clara (Buechlein) Kreilein. Married to Janice Bromm on October 21, 1961 in St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Michael Kreilein, Huntingburg, IN

Max Kreilein retired from JOFCO, Inc. and also had worked for Kimball International (Stylemasters division) and the Othmar Klem Cabinet Co. and after retirement was currently working at Wal-Mart in Jasper.

He served in the Indiana National Guard from 1959 to 1967.

He is a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, American Legion Post # 493, St. Anthony, St. Anthony Community Center and St. Anthony Conservation Club.

His hobbies were fishing, hunting , golf, woodworking and watching eagles at Patoka Reservoir.

Funeral services for Max Kreilein wil be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday (September 15, 2009) in St. Anthony Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Anthony Cemetery. St. Anthony American Legion Post # 493 will conduct military grave side rites.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Monday (September 14, 2009) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church or to a favorite charity.
