Helen C. Hochgesang, age 83, Jasper, Indiana, died at 2:43 p.m. Sunday (May 10, 2009) at Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper.
She was born at Jasper, Indiana, February 25, 1926; parents, Edward and Christina (Blessinger) Erny. She married Richard G. Hochgesang, October 21, 1947, he preceded her in death, July 4, 1999.

Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death besides her husband, are brothers, Vincent J. Erny and Robert L. Erny and a sister Mary Alice Schuetter.
Helen Hochgesang was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and its Blessed Virgin Sodality.
She enjoyed quilting, Horse Racing, Gardening, Fishing and card playing with family and friends.
Funeral services for Helen Hochgesang will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday (May 13, 2009) at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday (May 12, 2009) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
Rosary will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday by the Blessed Virgin Sodality.
In Lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Holy Family church quilt fund or to Holy Family Catholic Church.
