Russell E. Beck, age 85 of Dubois died at 10:14 p.m. Thursday (September 4, 2008) in Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
He was born at Dubois, Indiana on January 8, 1923 to William and Lorena (Neukam) Beck. He married Betty E. Gentry on January 18, 1947 in St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Dubois.
Russell Beck was a WWII Army Veteran and he retired from the Indiana Cabinet Company in Dubois.
He is a member of the American Legion Post # 147 in Jasper.

2 grandchildren, Michael & Brett Qualkenbush and 3 great grandchildren.
1 sister, Wanda Lee Kalb, Jasper, IN
Preceding him in death is 1 brother Johnny Beck who died in infancy.
Funeral services for Russell Beck will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday (September 9, 2008) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper with burial to follow in Folsomville Cemetery at Folsomville, Indiana. The Rev. Jack Ashby will officiate. American Legion Post #147 will conduct Military Grave Side Rites.
