Freida F. Kiefer age 89 of Ireland, Indiana died at 8:18 a.m. Sunday (April 6, 2008) at the Scenic Hills Nursing Center in Ferdinand, Indiana.
She was born on January 12, 1919 at Jasper, Indiana to Herman and Elizabeth (Zerekelbach) Schepers, she was married twice; 1st marriage to Paul Rasche on March 28, 1940, he died on January 25, 1968; 2nd marriage to Ambrose Kiefer on August 25, 1970, he died on November 24, 1990.
Freida was a homemaker and did factory work in Jasper and member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland and the St. Ann’s Society.
Surviving are;
1 daughter, Ellen Jochem, St. Henry, IN
2 sons;
Arnold Rasche, Ireland, IN
Stephen Rasche, Richmond Hills, Ga.
12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren
1 sister, Dolores Klem, Ireland, IN
Preceding her in death besides her husbands are 5 sisters, Leona Humbert, Irene Knust, Genevieve Steffe and Bernadine Voegerl and Marie Schepers who died in infancy also 2 brothers, Walter and Victor Schepers.
Funeral services for Freida Kiefer will be held at 11;00 a.m. Tuesday (April 8, 2008) at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland with burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Ireland.
Friends may call 2 hours before services at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland on Tuesday (April 8, 2008).
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland.
