Charlene D. Rice age 95 of Jasper and formerly of Anderson, Indiana died at 2:10 p.m. Wednesday (March 19, 2008) at the St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.
She was born at Shipman, Illinois on October 19, 1912 to Charles Howard Davies and Irene Barton – she married H.K. Buck Rice in 1936, he preceded her in death in 1966.
Charlene Rice was an accomplished pianists; as a resident in Anderson, Indiana she was active in the First Methodist Women’s Guild, Sts. John’s Hospital Auxiliary Volunteer, The Garden Club of Anderson, The Indiana Gesneriad Society and the Anderson Religious Book Club. Upon coming to Jasper, she was a member of the 20th Century Literary Club.

2 grandchildren; Scott A. Meneilly and Diann Meneilly-Horney both of Jasper, IN
4 great grandchildren
Private services and interment will be held in Cerro Gordo Illinois at a later date.
