Kent,
I can't believe you were just at the funeral home for us.
Condolences to the whole Pfau family. We lived together next door all the time we were growing up, playing 'Kick the Tin Can' and 'house' in that beautiful lilac bush you all had on the corner by the driveway, with little 'rooms' in it. And I broke a front tooth when we were eating pears out of your pear tree. Such wonderful memories of all the card games we played with Pike & Cyrilla. I can still see her coming out and looking in the kitchen..."you all playing cards? Just a minute, I'll go get my money." And she would be right back. Your Pike was usually on Fire Duty and he would come over when he got home, cigar in hand, and say "I thought I'd find my wife over here." And of course, he would come in & join.
And when Tweedy died I'll always remember Cyrilla coming over that night and hugging me. She said this should be me. Here I've been over 17 yrs.,, can't even lift a broom with these heart problems and God takes Tweedy, a young man with kids.
Wonderful family. All of you. I can still hear Peg's laugh when she would watch Johnny Carson.
Enjoy the memories!!! Carol | From: Carol (Mundy) & Danny Mehringer 02/16/2011 02:17 PM

Pfau Family, I'm sorry to read of Ronnie's passing. We were in school together, I was a little older;) and our families were good friends for years. Pike and my dad Bugs were buddies, as well as Sonny.
Prayers and Sympathy.
