Veronica M. Henke age 90 of Jasper, Indiana died at 08:43 p.m. Monday (May 3, 2004) in the Jasper Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

She was born at Jasper, Indiana on August 23, 1913, her parents were Joseph and Margaret (Mehringer) Hopf, Married Alphonse Henke on June 5, 1934 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.

She was a homemaker and worked for many years at Holy Family School Cafeteria.

Her memberships include Holy Family Catholic Church and the Blessed Virgin Sodality of the church and the Daughters of Isabella.

Surviving are her husband Alphonse.

2 brothers, Wilfred Hopf and Cletus Hopf both of Jasper, IN

Preceding her in death are 1 son, Melvin Henke who died in infancy and 5 sisters, Bertha Vogler, Helen Hohler, Victoria Sermersheim, Hilda Giesler and Emma Hopf who died at age 10 and 4 brothers, Silas, Roman, Herbert and Fidelis Hopf.

Funeral services for Veronica M. Henke will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday (May 7, 2004)
in Holy Family Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 2 – 8 pm. Thursday the Becher – Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
Combined Rosary at 3:00 p.m. Thursday by the D of I’s and the Blessed Virgin Sodality Society – Prayer Vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday by members of Holy Family Parish.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church.
