Mary Alice Crookshanks, 88 of St. Albans passed away Friday June 1, 2012.

Born December 5, 1923 in Calvin, Mrs. Crookshanks was a daughter of the late Guy and Josephine Perkins. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Chester Crookshanks and siblings, Beulah Radcliff, Lloyd Perkins, Bobby Perkins.

Mrs. Crookshanks was a loving wife and mother and long-time member of Highlawn Presbyterian Church, St. Albans.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Linda and Ron Spradling of St. Albans; grandsons, Tim Spradling and wife, Dawn of Hurricane and Brian Spradling and wife, Heather of Clayton, NC; great-grandchildren, Morgan, Matt, Davis and Carson; siblings, Mildred Cressorn of Belva, Doris Gwinn of Martinsburg, Jim Perkins of Cincinnati, Ohio and Frank Perkins of Louisville, Kentucky.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday June 9, 2012 at Highlawn Presbyterian Church, 2501 Washington Avenue, St. Albans with the Rev. Nancy Didway officiating.

Entombment will be held in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Highlawn Presbyterian Church, St. Albans.

The family would like to thank the employees of Regency Place for their loving care shown her for the last four and a half years.

Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, 409 Sixth Avenue, St. Albans assisted the Crookshanks family.
