| Stanley Farley, 68, of Culloden, passed away Saturday, December 10, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.
Stan was born January 4, 1943, in Bancroft, and was a son of the late Tessie Marie and Stonewall Jackson Farley. Stan served his country as a member of the United States Navy, and served 20 years as a West Virginia State Trooper before retiring. In addition, he formerly served two terms as Sheriff of Putnam County. In addition to his parents, Stan was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca Ann Farley. Stan is survived by his daughter, Joney S. Farley of Culloden; his grandchildren, Stanley Jackson Farley, Billy Reed, and Seneca Tucker; his sisters, Debbie Liptrap of Eleanor, Jaqueline Arthur of Liberty, and Martha Painter of Nitro; and his twin brother, Stephen Farley of Pickens, formerly of Fraziers Bottom. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday December 16, at Chapman Funeral Home, Teays Valley, with Chaplain Pete Thompson officiating. Entombment will follow at Valley View Memorial Park, Hurricane, with Military Honors provided by the James Marshal American Legion Post #187. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Chapman Funeral Home, 3941 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane is honored to be serving the Farley family. | ||
