| Betty Sue Jeffrey, 73 of St. Albans passed away Tuesday November 2, 2010 at Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston.
Born June 12, 1937 in Paintsville, Ky, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Ethel Taylor Vanhoose. She was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters and two grandchildren. Betty was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and she loved to play bingo. She was a homemaker and a Freewill Baptist by faith. She is survived by her husband, Silas G. Jeffrey; children, Oscar Stambaugh (Eleanor), Patricia Dunlap (Ed), Silas E. Jeffrey (Amanda), Susie Murphy (Michael), Melvin Jeffrey (Kim), Henry Jeffrey (Robin) and Raymond Layher all of St. Albans; sister, Christina Clark and brother, Harry Vanhoose both of Paintsville, Ky; 22 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday November 5, 2010 at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, 409 Sixth Avenue, St. Albans with Pastor Mayford Witt officiating. Burial will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Friends may visit from 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home. | ||
