Billy C. Robinette, 76, of West Northgate Drive, died Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at 7:58 a.m. at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mr. Robinette retired in 1996 from the security department at Cummins Engine Company where he had worked for 22 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a certified locksmith, had won many blue ribbons at the 4-H Fair for his woodworking and enjoyed tinkering. He could fix just about anything.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Patrick Galligar officiating.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and from 12:30 p.m. to time of service Saturday.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.

Born in Bondtown, VA, September 8, 1935, Mr. Robinette was the son of Melvin L. and Edith Roberts Robinette.
He married Dorothy Quinn on November 23, 1968.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kelli (Michiael) Shannon of Bloomington; a stepdaughter, Marcia (Jim) Lyons of Columbus; brothers, Lars, Keith, Uel and Ronny Robinette, all of Tennessee, Roger Robinette of California and Larry Robinettte of Texas; sisters, Gay Wheeler of Flora, Sue Prewitt of California and Nona Talley of Tennessee; grandchildren, Gabe Mercuri of Bloomington, Amy (Will) Hammons of Columbus and Kerri (Paul) Frazier of North Carolina; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
