| | | Mary M. Riddle, 83, of Scipio, died at 10:37 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mary was born on October, 19, 1928 in Shelby County, Indiana to the late Hurna Edward and Margaret J. Kelley Rafferty. She married Delbert Riddle on November 27, 1965 in Columbus, Indiana.
Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed crafts and gardening. She was a member of the 6th Street General Baptist Church and loved spending time with her family and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Rev.Orville Turner and Pastor Kenny Lee officiating.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Burial will be at Bethel Baptist Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Delbert Riddle; daughters, Carol (Marshall) West of Scipio, Sharon Day of Columbus and Jana (Chris) Craig of North Vernon; sons, Jack D. Riddle of Petersburg and Don Riddle of Columbus; sister, Alice Brumfield of Texas; brother, Marvin Rafferty of California and George Rafferty of North Vernon; step-sister, Netha Allen of Jeffersonville; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bill, Mark and Merrill Rafferty.
