| | | Ruby Virginia Coop, 90, of Columbus, died at 8:35 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Willow Crossing Health & Rehabilitation Center.
She was a member of Garden City Church of Christ and was active in the Golden Harvesters Sunday School Class.
The funeral will be conducted at 1p.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Virgil Clotfelter officiating.
Family and friends may call from 4 to7 p.m. Thursday and from noon until service time Friday.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Ruby was born in Columbus, July 3, 1921, the daughter of Ray and Ora Hacker Bennett.
She married Don Coop on December 18, 1939. He preceded her in death on March 20, 1981.
Survivors include her sons, Marlin Gene (Diana) Coop and Charles (Georgann) Coop, both of Columbus; brothers, Paul (Jean) Bennett of Columbus and Robert (Ramona) Bennett of Indianapolis; grandchildren, David Coop, Robbie Coop, Mike Coop, Brian (Michelle) Coop and Teri (Jim) Davis; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Raymond and Noble Bennett; and a sister, Sylvia Bennett.
