|Thomas E. Holsworth, Sr., of Indianapolis died May 21, at 6:55 a.m. in Hospice. He was born in Ft. Wayne, IN, Oct. 3, 1923. His parents were Carl & Wanda Holsworth who have predeceased him.
He graduated from Paulding High School in 1941. Thomas served his country during WW II as a Cryptographic Technician in the United States Air Force, 47th Bombardment Squadron, in the South Pacific.
Thomas Holsworth was the founder of Precision Fire & Safety in Indianapolis, IN. He sold the business July 29, 1993. Unable to stay idle, he co-founded First Aid Supply. Thomas sold First Aid Supply when it became too much for him at age 86.
Thomas married Patricia L. Miles September 14, 1946. Patricia died July 11, 1967. He thereafter married Lois Faye Woodruff who has also predeceased him.
Thomas was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church; The Exchange Club of Indianapolis, (past President); Masonic Lodge #316; and the Scottish Rite Cathedral.
Thomas was a world traveler. Whenever a new country opened for tourism, he was one of the first to tour. He loved to play bridge.
Survivors include his children: Thomas E. (Shirley) Holsworth, Jasper, IN; Patricia L. (Randy) Campbell, Ponte Vedra, FL; Mark E. Holsworth, Indianapolis, IN; Suzanne Axelrod Tooley, Indianapolis, IN; Ann M. (Steve) Heimann, Columbus, IN; and Miles E. (Barb) Holsworth, Dallas, TX. Thomas had 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brother, Carl Rex (Shirley) Holsworth, Katy, TX, and his sister, Florence (Bob) Ives of Philadelphia, PA.
A private family service is planned for a later date. Memorials may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana, the Shriners or a charity of your choice.
