| | | Yvonne Signs Crabb, 86, of Collins, Iowa, died April 27, 2009 at the Hubbard Care Center in Hubbard, Iowa.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM, Thursday, April 30, 2009, at Collins United Methodist Church in Collins, Iowa. Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Wednesday, April 29th at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada.
Yvonne was born at Collins, Iowa on June 23, 1922, the daughter of Wayne and Esther (Stratton) Signs. She graduated from Collins High School in 1939. Yvonne was united in marriage to John Crabb on December 26, 1939 in Des Moines, Iowa. He preceded her in death on September 8, 2003.
She was a member of the Collins United Methodist Church, the Order of Eastern Star, and had been on many lady bowling league teams throughout the years. Yvonne also loved to play bridge, golf, watch her boys play sports, be at social gatherings and events, watch and listen to Hawkeye basketball and football. Yvonne loved her family and friends.
Survivors include five sons: Jim Crabb and Sandra Stong-Crabb of Ankeny, Iowa; Bob and Brenda Crabb of New Providence, Iowa; Jerry and Linda Crabb of Port Orchard, Washington; John Crabb of Collins, Iowa and Bill Crabb of Collins, Iowa; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister: Doris Flo Saf of Des Moines, Iowa; and one step brother: Gene Warren of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her father: Wayne Signs; her mother and stepfather: Esther and Stanley Warren; her husband, John Crabb; one great grandson: Jonathan Crabb and one sister: Bonnie Boeckel.
