| | | AMES – Jimmy Lee Crook, 39, of Ames, died Friday, March 13, 2009 at Abbington on Grand where he had been a resident.
Jimmy was born July 17, 1969 in Ames, Iowa, the son of Robert and Phyllis Dianne (Fry) Crook. Jimmy loved the sound of his mother’s and sister’s voices and smiled every time he heard them. He loved to sit in the sunshine and feel its warmth.
Jimmy is survived by his mother and step-father: Dianne and Raymond Castor of Mulberry, Arkansas; his sister and brother-in-law: Brenda and Steven Erdman of Goldfield, Iowa; his grandmother: Leona Maxine Fry of Mulberry, Arkansas; and three nieces: Misty (Philip) Schmitz, Megan Ruby and Scottie, Melanie Lynn Ellis and Garrett; three great nieces: Makenzi, Izabella, Zhara; and one great nephew: Jacob.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father; and his grandfather, John Fry, Sr.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Inurnment will be at a later date.
The Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory in Nevada is handling arrangements.
