| | | Nelda Kriegel, 88, died Monday, October 20, 2008, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa. Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, October 24th, at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada with visitation at 12:00 noon prior to the service.
Nelda was born January 29, 1920, at Ames, Iowa, the daughter of Guy and Rowena (Fox) Elliott. She married Robert Kriegel on May 27, 1950. He preceded her in death on October 17, 2005.
She was a homemaker and co-owner of “Bob’s Place’ in Collins for 25 years. She was a member of the Collins Garden Club and American Legion Auxiliary. Nelda enjoyed bowling, golf, crocheting and ceramics.
Survivors include her two sons: Guy Hennick of Collins, Iowa; and Gilbert (Carol) Hennick of Collins; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and one sister, Anoka Stratton of Collins.
Nelda was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; one brother: Ober Elliott; and one sister: Guylia Partridge.
Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
