Edith Peterson, 60, of Lincoln, NE, died Sunday, September 28, 2008, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa.
Edith was born November 17, 1947 at Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of George P. and Edith M. (Connelly) Kregelius. She obtained B.S. and Masters Degrees at the University of Miami, Ohio and her PhD at the University of Nebraska. She was a Math Professor and was employed by South East Community College in Lincoln, NE,
She was married to Loren V. Petersen in Lincoln on January 3, 1975. He preceded her in death on May 31, 2002.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: George Fredrick (Nichole) Petersen of Ames, IA, and James Sander (Tricia) Petersen of Kansas City, MO; and one granddaughter: Hannah Kate Peterson of Kansas City.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
No services are planned and the body has been cremated.
Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory, Nevada, Iowa is in charge of services.
