Who Owns a Person's Body Once the Person is Dead? |
|
|
I live in Indiana. I wonder who owns a person's body once the person in question is dead? Does the family has control over it? No one "owns" the body. There is a state mandated hierarchy as to who has control over the disposition of the remains. In Indiana it is surviving spouse first; surviving children of majority age in age order; then parents; then grandchildren. |
