What is a Graveliner? |
|
|
What exactly is a graveliner and is a casket or just a body put inside this graveliner at burial time? A graveliner is a minimum requirement for burial at many cemeteries. It is usually made of concrete and does not seal. A vault could used in place of this. Vaults are made of concrete, steel and some synthetic materials. Typically a good quality vault will seal air and water tight. This is a choice for you to make for the burial. At the graveside the casket is lowered into the graveliner or vault. The primary use and requirement for either a graveliner or a vault is to hold the integrity of the grave so the dirt will not settle later. This of course means less maintenance to the cemetery in the future. -- Jon Roeder |
