Viewing an Embalming Procedure

I would like to sit in on an embalming procedure. How would I go about doing that?

I believe one would need to contact an area funeral director/embalmer and the decision to allow an observer would be at his or her discretion. Another way to get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the profession, including embalming and preparation of the deceased is through a video entitled "The Facts of Death" avalable through The National Funeral Directors Association. -- Rob Jones
