Do Burial Arrangements Have to be Made With the Cemetery Containing the Plot? |
|
| If
a person has a plot at a cemetrary, do arrangements have to be made through
that cemetary/mortuary? I have a relative who may pass away at any time.
He lives in Iowa, wants to be cremated and brought to Denver for burial
in his plot in Denver. The cemetary is too high priced. We are contemplating
options.
When someone has a grave at a certain cemetery all they have are the burial rights. To get the grave open they must go through the cemetery office, if there is one, to get graves open. The cemetery is the one who is in charge of the maintenance and care of the grounds which includes burials. -- Jerrit Clayton |
