Joining Remains With Other Remains |

I live in the state of Oregon, and am a little embarrassed to call and ask this question of any funeral home in my area. Upon my death, my desire is to be cremated, and have my remains mixed with the cremated remains of my cat (a long-time companion), and for us to be buried together. Is this against the law? GREAT QUESTION! I am sure that there is no law that would not allow this. You should check with the cemetery where the cremains are to be buried to see if they have some regulation against this. Also remember that once cremation is complete and the cremains are co-mingled, who can tell the difference. Thank-you for asking! -- Jerrit Clayton |
