Body Identification Before Cremation

If I died before my wife, would it be necessary for my wife to identify my body before cremation?

It would depend on the crematory. CANA recommends that a positive identification be made before a cremation takes place. It does not have to be a relative but that is usually the case. - Jack Springer, President, Cremation Association of North America
